Space Detectors (also known as Passive Infrared Detectors)  

Space Detectors protect the space within an area, the detectors trigger when they pick up infrared heat energy that’s generated by an intruder. The advantage of Space Detectors  is that you need a relatively small number to cover a large area, thus making the system installation  cost effective. Space Detectors usually only trigger once the intruder has gained entry into the property.  

Vibration Detectors

These small wireless units are fixed to windows around the property, and if a window is attacked the alarm will trigger. The advantages of using this type of protection are that you are able to arm your system and still walk around inside the property. The alarm will only be triggered when the intruder has gained entry. Please note, you will require more of these devices than conventional space detectors in order to cover all the potential points of entry. On the building layout in the Design Your System section you would typically need 10 Vibration Detectors.

Combination of Space and Vibration Detectors

Using a combination of both detectors is the best way to create a high level of security within your budget. For example, rooms at the front of your property could use Space Detectors, but the nursery at the rear of the property could have Vibration Detectors, providing added security to that area. Using this scenario you could set the alarm in the nursery, keeping it secure, whilst still walking around the rest of the house.

Smoke Detectors

Adding wireless Smoke Detectors to your HomeSecure system will trigger the system’s sirens inside and out. The fire activation sound is quite different from the intruder activation sound, so there is no confusion and you can react quickly and appropriately. SMS warnings will be issued on the Silver System to nominated numbers, notifying you that the fire warning system has activated. On a Gold System our 24hr monitoring team will contact your key holders, and where appropriate the fire brigade. For the small cost of a smoke detector you now have a fire warning system that is fully automated to warn people of a potential fire.  

Medical Alert / Panic Button / Set/ Unset

This small wireless remote can be configured to do different tasks. It can be used to;

1 Set and unset the system instead of using a code
2 Act as a medical alert button such as an elderly person
3 Act like a panic button.

If connected with a Silver or Gold System you will have the benefits of being informed that a medical or attack situation requires your attention, allowing you to act quickly.
